The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has organized a comprehensive Adire skill acquisition training program for community members, complete with startup materials to launch their businesses.

> In a demonstration of inclusive leadership, the initiative specifically welcomed physically challenged individuals, ensuring they have the opportunity to develop marketable skills and achieve economic independence.
The Adire training program, which focuses on the traditional Nigerian tie-dye textile craft, equips participants with both technical expertise and the resources needed to begin income-generating activities immediately upon completion.

> Speaking at the event, participants expressed their appreciation for the council chairman’s vision, offering prayers for his continued success in office.

The program reflects the local government’s commitment to empowering vulnerable populations and creating pathways to self-sufficiency for all residents.
By combining skills training with startup support, Hon. Akintayo’s initiative addresses a critical gap in community development, enabling beneficiaries to become productive contributors to society while preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in textile arts.
