President Bola Tinubu has made a bold statement, reaffirming his commitment to serving Nigeria. In a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, he declared, “I didn’t come to look for money, I came to work” ¹. This statement reflects his administration’s focus on delivering tangible results and making a positive impact on the nation.

Tinubu emphasized that his priority is to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, including infrastructure development, food and energy security, education, and long-term economic stability. He acknowledged the support of the Forum members, urging them to foster unity and camaraderie to achieve national development goals.

The President also highlighted the complex nature of legislative activities and nation-building processes, expressing confidence in Nigeria’s progress through collaboration and inclusiveness. He criticized past neglect of communities and education, citing dilapidated schools and low enrollment rates.

Senator Ken Nnamani, speaking on behalf of the delegation, expressed full support for Tinubu’s administration and its efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges. The meeting, attended by 16 former presiding officers, marked Tinubu’s first official engagement with the group since taking office ¹.
