Hon. Titilope Gbadamosi Adebayo, the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monitoring and Delivery of Youth Initiatives, has been a shining light since her appointment last year. She has not only changed the narrative of her office but has ensured that all Ministries, Departments, Parastatals and Agencies (MDAs) include youth-centred programs and projects. Her efforts have created hope, lifted many out of poverty, and redefined leadership in a way that resonates deeply with the challenges of our time.
Hon. Gbadamosi’s relentless drive to seek help for the helpless and provide assistance for the hopeless is not surprising. I know her personally, and I can confidently say she has always been passionate about lifting others. Her work ethic, commitment, and humanity are remarkable, setting her apart from her peers in the Federal cabinet.
Among her contemporaries, she stands out as the most proactive and approachable. She constantly engages with the youth, ensuring that they understand the policies, programs, and projects of the current administration. Her dedication to this cause makes her the ideal person for the position she occupies—truly a round peg in a round hole.
One of her major achievements is mapping out strategies for youth empowerment through her office’s partnerships with all MDAs. She has worked tirelessly, liaising with Ministers, Directors-General, CEOs, and other heads of government establishments to ensure that opportunities for youth empowerment are not just discussed but acted upon.
Her efforts have reaffirmed the capabilities of women in leadership. In a time when many were beginning to lose hope in the government, Oloye Titilope Ayoka has been a beacon of progress, demonstrating that women are not weak, but strong leaders who deserve encouragement and opportunities to contribute to national development.
Ask anyone from her state or beyond, and they will tell you—no one complains about her personality. Hon. Gbadamosi is humble, generous, and focused on the task at hand. She may not be perfect in everything, but it’s hard to find someone who would accuse her of being sentimental, proud, stingy, or difficult to work with.
To me, Ayoka—as I fondly call her—is someone God has sent to bless not just me but many others. Her impact is deeply felt, and I am incredibly proud of all she has achieved. I urge her to continue doing what she’s known for—putting the people first.
To others in positions of authority, whether elected or appointed, I hope this serves as a reminder that your position is temporary, but the legacy you leave behind will last forever. Let us all learn from Hon. Gbadamosi’s example and dedicate ourselves to the service of the people.
Finally, I pray that God Almighty will continue to protect and preserve her so that she may do even more for humanity.
