The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, has extended warm birthday greetings to the First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Olufunke Tamunominini Makinde, as she marks another remarkable year of life and service.
In a goodwill message released on Monday, Hon. Sanda lauded the First Lady for her unwavering commitment to grassroots development and her longstanding advocacy for the welfare of women and children in the state.
“Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Olufunke Makinde, is not only a strong pillar beside His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, but also a mother to the grassroots. Her tireless efforts in supporting women through empowerment programs and giving voice to the needs of children across communities in Oyo State are truly commendable,” Hon. Sanda stated.
He emphasized that her compassion and dedication have helped to strengthen the bridge between the government and the people, especially at the community level, where her presence and impact are most deeply felt.
“From Egbeda to every corner of the state, the First Lady has remained a symbol of hope, care, and transformative action. Her initiatives have brought smiles to homes and empowered many women to become self-reliant contributors to society,” he added.
Hon. Sanda prayed for continued divine protection, strength, and wisdom for Her Excellency as she continues to serve with humility and purpose.
