HON. LANRE SARUMI CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE ON SIX YEARS OF TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP IN OYO STATE

Hon. Lanre Sarumi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the last general election, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the celebration of six remarkable years in office as the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

In a statement issued to commemorate the milestone, Hon. Sarumi hailed Governor Makinde’s administration for redefining public leadership and governance in Oyo State, describing his tenure as a shining example of what visionary and people-oriented leadership can achieve when driven by purpose and integrity.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that with the right people in government, development can be fast-tracked and sustainable,” Hon. Sarumi stated. “He has become a typical example of how responsive governance can transform lives, empower citizens, and set new standards for leadership in Nigeria.”

Hon. Sarumi highlighted some of the Governor’s landmark achievements in the past six years, including the massive transformation of road infrastructure across the state, improved access to quality education, strategic investment in agriculture, youth empowerment programmes, and deliberate policies to attract local and foreign investors.

Particularly, Hon. Sarumi lauded the administration’s commitment to critical infrastructural projects like the upgrade of the Ibadan Airport to international standard, the construction of the ambitious Ibadan Circular Road, and the development of modern transport terminals and garages. “These projects are not just infrastructural upgrades; they are testaments to Governor Makinde’s bold vision to position Oyo State as a hub of commerce, tourism, and innovation in Nigeria,” he noted.

Speaking further, Hon. Sarumi praised the Governor for his inclusive governance style that has inspired and empowered a new generation of young leaders in Oyo State. “As a mentor and role model, Governor Makinde has opened doors for young people to serve, lead, and grow. Many of us have found purpose and direction through his exemplary leadership, and for that, we remain deeply grateful.”

He also expressed his appreciation for the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Oyo State. “Your dedication, courage, and foresight continue to bring hope to millions. Thank you for your selfless service and for always putting the people first.”

Hon. Sarumi concluded his message with prayers for continued strength and divine wisdom for the Governor. “As you mark six years of impactful governance, I pray that God grants you more wisdom, strength, and vision to take Oyo State to even greater heights. Congratulations, Your Excellency.”
