Hon. Lanre Sarumi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the last general election, has commended the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Seun Olufade, for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development.

Sarumi gave the commendation on Thursday during the commissioning of a motorized borehole and convenience facility at Ward 4 in Ibadan North, where he was invited to perform the official commissioning of the convenience unit.
The project forms part of Hon. Olufade’s ongoing infrastructure drive aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the local government.

While responding to the press, Hon. Sarumi praised the Chairman for remaining true to his promises and delivering impactful projects to the people.

“This project is a clear demonstration of Chairman Olufade’s passion for development and his dedication to improving the quality of life in our communities,” Sarumi said.

“As we approach the forthcoming bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, I am optimistic that with deeper collaboration, we can achieve even more for our people.”
Hon. Sarumi emphasized that a PDP victory in the upcoming bye-election would further consolidate the gains already being recorded at the local level and align efforts between local and state government for accelerated development.
“As we look forward to victory at the forthcoming bye-election, we are committed to ensuring a more developed Ibadan North,” he noted.
“A win in that election will greatly strengthen the initiatives of our Chairman and the state government toward the greater good of our local government.”
He also called on party members and community stakeholders to unite in fostering development, stressing that collective action is essential to sustaining progress.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by key figures including members of the Oyo State Executive Council, state and local legislators, party leaders, and community stakeholders from across Ibadan North.
The newly inaugurated borehole and convenience facility are expected to enhance access to clean water and sanitation in Ward 4, directly impacting the health and daily life of residents.
With the bye-election drawing near, Hon. Sarumi’s visible involvement in community-centered projects signals his ongoing commitment to grassroots engagement and development in Ibadan North.
