Hon. George Ogunlade Donates Pumping Machine, Repairs Security Vehicles in Ogbomoso North

In a renewed demonstration of his commitment to safety and community development, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has extended critical support to security agencies within the local government.

In a statement released on Saturday, 7th February 2026, by his Media Aide, Alade Toheeb, the Chairman donated a pumping machine to the Nigerian Correctional Service, while also facilitating the repair of operational vehicles belonging to Agro Rangers and Operation Burst.

The intervention, according to the statement, is part of Hon. George continuous efforts to strengthen security architecture at the grassroots level by ensuring that security agencies are adequately equipped to discharge their duties effectively.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. George Ogunlade emphasized that security remains the backbone of any meaningful development, stressing that a safe environment encourages economic activities, social harmony, and peaceful coexistence among residents. He noted that his administration places high priority on supporting security outfits, recognizing their sacrifices and critical role in maintaining law and order across Ogbomoso North.

“When our security agencies are empowered, the entire community benefits. Peace and safety allow our people to go about their daily activities without fear, and that is the foundation of progress,” the Chairman stated.

Receiving the pumping machine on behalf of the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Controller of Corrections, Alonge Ibikunle Akanni, expressed profound gratitude to the Chairman. He described Hon. George as an honest, people-oriented, and promise-keeping leader, applauding his responsiveness to the needs of security agencies.

Akanni further noted that the gesture would significantly enhance operational efficiency and strengthen collaboration between the local government and security institutions.

The repair of the Agro Rangers and Operation Burst vehicles was also widely commended, as it is expected to boost patrol capacity, rapid response, and overall security coverage across farming communities and urban areas within the local government.

This latest intervention reinforces Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade’s reputation as a leader deeply committed to good governance, security, and the welfare of both residents and those entrusted with protecting them in Ogbomoso North Local Government.
