In a move to strengthen democratic participations, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East Constituency 1, in Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Babalola Abiodun Ph.D. has organized a special exercise to enable residents of his constituency to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The initiative, which kicked off over the weekend, was aimed at bringing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registrations exercise closer to the constituents , particularly those who had previously encountered challenges in registering , lost or transferring their voter cards.
Speaking during the flag-off, Hon. Abiodun emphasized the relevance of active participation in the electoral process, stressing that the right to vote in any election is the foundation of democracy. He urged eligible residents to take advantage of the opportunity and ensure they are properly registered ahead of forthcoming elections.

“This exercise is not just about registration; it is about empowering our people to have a voice in governance and decision-making. Every vote counts, and I want the people of Ibadan North East Constituency 1, to be fully represented,” he said.


Community leaders and residents commended the lawmaker for the kind gesture, describing it as a step in the right direction towards inclusive governance and political participations.
The registration exercise will continue for several days to accommodate a large number of constituents, ensuring no eligible voter is left out.
