The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has congratulated Muslim faithful across the local government on the commencement of the 2026 Ramadan fast while also extending warm wishes to Christian faithful as they begin the solemn season of Lent.

In a goodwill message released to mark the spiritual observances, Hon. Adeleke described both Ramadan and Lent as sacred periods of reflection, sacrifice, discipline and renewed devotion to God. He noted that the simultaneous observance of these holy seasons highlighted the deep spiritual heritage and religious harmony that define the people of Ibarapa Central.
The Chairman urged Muslim faithful to embrace the values of patience, compassion, charity and self-restraint that Ramadan represents, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their fasting, supplications and acts of generosity. He also encouraged Christians to use the Lenten season as a time of repentance, love and strengthened commitment to service and humanity.

Hon. Adeleke emphasised that these sacred periods present an opportunity for collective prayers for peace, unity and sustainable development in Ibarapa Central, Oyo State and Nigeria at large. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering religious tolerance, mutual respect and inclusive governance.

The Executive Chairman concluded by wishing both Muslim and Christian faithful a spiritually rewarding season filled with divine grace, renewed hope and abundant blessings.
