Eyewitnesses described a chaotic situation as the gunmen opened fire, causing widespread panic among pedestrians and motorists.
Victims of the attack were promptly rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. This alarming event highlights the persistent security challenges in Nigeria, particularly in known hotspots.

In response to growing public concern, the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB), Oyo State Branch, has called for urgent and sustained security measures, including intensified police patrols and the restoration of streetlights, to help deter criminal activity.

Residents are strongly urged to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to security agencies, as part of collective efforts to curb the rising wave of insecurity in the city.
