GSM @57: Oyo State Forum of Supervisory Councilors Hold Thanksgiving Service for Gov. Makinde

Oyo State Forum of Supervisory Councilors organized a special prayer session at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Aremo, to mark Governor Seyi Makinde’s 57th birthday. This heartfelt gesture demonstrates the supervisory councilors’ appreciation for the governor’s leadership and commitment to the state’s development.

The service which is part of the highlighted programme of the forum marking Governor Makinde’s birthday, showcased the strong bond between the governor and the Supervisory Councillor . It also highlighted the governor’s dedication to the welfare and progress of Oyo State.

The prayer session, the Provost Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, Very Reverend Samuel Olawoyin featured prayers, hymns, and readings. The supervisory councilors, who were dressed in their various attire led by their coordinator, Hon. Alarape Kabiru Imam , participated actively in the service, offering prayers and thanksgiving for Governor Makinde’s life and leadership.

In his remarks, the Coordinator of the Oyo State Forum of Supervisory Councilors, Hon. Alarape Kabiru Imam praised Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership and commitment to the development of Oyo State. He noted that the governor’s achievements in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development have positively impacted the lives of the people of Oyo State.

“Today, we gather to celebrate a man who has dedicated his life to serving the people of Oyo State,” Hon. Alarape said. “Governor Makinde’s leadership has brought about significant transformation in our state, and we are grateful for his vision and commitment.”

Honourable Alarape, the coordinator, offered heartfelt prayers for the families of the children who lost their lives in the tragic stampede at the Bashorun funfair in Ibadan. He also reassured residents that Governor Seyi Makinde is committed to providing robust support for enhanced security measures.

The special prayer session was attended by representatives of suppervisory councilors from across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, as well as other stakeholders and well-wishers.

As Governor Makinde marks another year of life, the people of Oyo State and beyond celebrate his achievements and vision for a better future.
