The stage is set for an electrifying clash tomorrow at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, as Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s National Team, the Falconets, take on Rwanda’s She-Amavubi in the second leg of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Nigeria heads into the decisive encounter with a slim 1–0 advantage, courtesy of Alaba Olabiyi’s well-taken goal in the 70th minute of the first leg in Kigali. The Rwandan side arrived safely in Nigeria on Wednesday and has since settled in Ibadan, where they will have a final training session at the stadium ahead of tomorrow’s showdown.

The Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to sports development by hosting the continental qualifier and providing all necessary logistics to ensure a seamless event.

Spectators and football lovers have been assured of maximum security and proper organisation throughout the competition, with every detail carefully planned to guarantee safety and comfort. The state government has also thrown open the gates, allowing fans free access to cheer the Falconets to victory in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Commendation also goes to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke, who was on ground to receive the Nigerian team and has continued to ensure the players enjoy maximum welfare and care during their stay in Ibadan.

With the Falconets seeking to seal their place on the road to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the atmosphere in Ibadan is charged with anticipation as fans are urged to turn out in their numbers to rally behind Nigeria’s pride.
