All is set for the 2nd edition of the Oyo State Real Estate Conference, a landmark event designed to deepen conversations on real estate as a major driver of economic growth in the Pacesetter State.

The conference, themed “Real Estate and Economic Development in Oyo State: Strategies for Success,” is being organized by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing and Urban Development, in collaboration with the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).

Expected to headline the event as Chief Host is the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whose visionary leadership has consistently placed Oyo on the map as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing economies. Governor Makinde’s administration has demonstrated unwavering commitment to sustainable housing policies, urban renewal, and investment-friendly reforms that continue to attract both local and international stakeholders.

According to the Special Adviser on Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, the conference will create a robust platform for industry leaders, developers, policymakers, and investors to engage on strategies that will shape the future of real estate in the state.

The gathering seeks to:
Showcase the state’s unwavering commitment to developing the real estate sector.
* Discuss strategies for successful housing and infrastructure development in line with Oyo’s masterplan.
* Provide opportunities for networking among investors, developers, and other stakeholders.
* Explore innovative financing models and sustainable practices to drive growth.
* Sensitize and sanitize the real estate sector in tandem with government regulations.
* Feature speeches from REDAN’s state and national leadership.
* Host representatives of the World Bank to discuss the Oyo State Livability Program.

Governor Makinde’s administration has repeatedly emphasized that real estate is not just about buildings, but about creating sustainable communities that enhance quality of life and drive economic prosperity.

His leadership in prioritizing housing, infrastructure, and urban development has not only boosted investor confidence but also repositioned Oyo as a hub of opportunities in Nigeria.

This second edition of the Oyo State Real Estate Conference is expected to consolidate on the foundation already laid, offering fresh perspectives and practical solutions that align with the governor’s vision of a modern, prosperous, and people-centered Oyo State.
