In complimenting the efforts of the wife of the Executive Governor of Oyo State,Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde, on the ongoing activities of campaign against Sexual and Gender Based Violence and other social vices in Oyo state, the Chairperson of Ibadan South West LG, Chief Mrs Mojoyinola Akande has hits the street to react against the disheartening acts against women forks.
While addressing the people in the cause of the campaign at various places like Ojaba,Bode,Okeado,and Apata markets within the LG area, chief Mrs Akande applauded the wife of the Executive Governor of oyo state, Engr Tamunominini Makinde for her forsight for this great initiative at this particular time and thereby solicited for women, and girls who are facing molestation in our environment and encouraged parents to watch over their female children to avoid been molested by opposite sex
Chairperson said the time is here for all and sundry to join hands together to shun acts of domestic violence, and all forms of harrasmenent for girls and women in the society. She added women’s folks are to be pampered with care and not to be misled
Chief Mrs Akande concluded with words of advise for the parents to desist from keeping their children and wards with strangers and untrusted family members, according to her, no one can keep watch on a child rightly than the biological parents.
Hon.Olumide Bello, Secretary to the LG,Mrs Ayobami Olanrewaju Woman Leader,Alhaja Modinat Olanrewaju, Mr Akeem Olatunji Head of Local Government Administration, all Directors, Unit Heads, glamorous ladies and women leaders all graced the occasion.
