In a symbolic demonstration of compassionate and people-focused governance, the First Lady of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Mrs. Adeleke Olusola Adebimpe ushered in the year 2026 with a New Year visit to the Model Hospital, Idere where she welcomed the first babies born in the local government this year.

 

In his message made by Azeez Sodiq during the celebration, the First Lady presented baby care items and cash support to three parents on their hospital beds, easing their immediate needs and sharing in their joy at the start of the new year.

 

Mrs. Adeleke was accompanied on the visit by the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Adegbemi, and the wife of the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Babarinde, whose presence further the collective commitment of the local government leadership to the welfare of families and newborns.

 

The gesture was received with deep appreciation by the beneficiaries Mrs Amirat Kosemani, Mrs Oyedepo Faidat and Mrs Olatunji Bose who described it as timely, thoughtful and encouraging.

 

Mrs. Adeleke also commended the dedication and professionalism of the medical personnel at the Model Hospital, applauding their commitment to duty, especially during the festive period. She acknowledged their critical role in ensuring safe deliveries and quality healthcare services within the local government.

Reaffirming her commitment to maternal and child welfare, the First Lady stressed that the wellbeing of women and children remains a top priority and that the local government will continue to support initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots.

 

Management and staff of the Model Hospital expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a morale booster for both patients and healthcare workers. They also appreciated the consistent support of the Ibarapa Central Local Government toward improving health facilities and service delivery.

 

The visit concluded on a joyful and prayerful note with goodwill messages and prayers offered for the newborns, their families and the sustained peace, progress and prosperity of Ibarapa Central Local Government in the year 2026.
