Federal Government has urged youths to embrace automotive innovation, to develop the country.

It said automotive innovation aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed commitment towards youth development, skill advancement and strategic transformation of Nigeria’s automotive landscape.
Speaking in Ibadan at a programme, ‘Youth Empowerment through Automotive Innovation 2025 Conference’, Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative (Monitoring and Delivery), Dr. Titilope Gbadamosi, said Nigeria was investing in mobility, technology, clean energy transition and digital innovation.

She said: “We are not only equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge needed for the jobs of today, we are also preparing them to lead the automotive future of Africa and even the world.

“Together, we have started driving the future of Nigeria. We have started driving the future of Africa. And I dare say we are driving the future where youths will stand confidently as creators, innovators and as global competitors in the automotive world.”
The Director General of National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Chief Joseph Osanipin, said innovation was fast growing and youths needed to catch up with it.
He noted that the step became necessary because youths were the engine room of nation building and innovation.

Osanipin said: “Youths are emerging as the engine of transformation, not only in automotive industry, but also in technology, in ICT. In Nigeria and across Africa, youth-driven innovation is reshaping mobility and accelerating our industrial development.”
