In light of recent Fresh FM Cross Fire session between the rulling PDP Chairmanship Candidate,Hon. Emmanuel Alawode and the APC Chairmanship Candidate,Mr. Saheed Babatunde Sulaiman, regarding the authenticity of academic credentials at the fresh FM Cross Fire session yesterday, it has become imperative to address the credibility of candidates vying for leadership positions within Ibadan South East Local Government,Nija For Good Governance an internationally based non governmental organization disclosed.

Upon thorough scrutiny and verification, it has come to our attention that Mr. Saheed Babatunde Sulaiman, the APC Chairmanship Candidate, has presented fraudulent documentation in an attempt to invalidate the candidacy of Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, the current executive chairman.

The examination of Mr. Sulaiman’s credentials revealed alarming discrepancies, notably the inclusion of a non-existent institution, the “College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin,” casting serious doubt on the veracity of his claims. This deceptive act underscores a blatant disregard for ethical standards and calls into question Mr. Sulaiman’s suitability to hold public office.

In contrast, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has demonstrated unwavering integrity, accountability, and dedication to the people of Ibadan South East Local Government. His leadership has garnered widespread support from residents, stakeholders, professionals, religious affiliations, and community leaders, reflecting a consensus on his credibility and qualifications.

Furthermore, Hon. Alawode’s candidacy has been subjected to rigorous scrutiny by both the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) and the People’s Democratic Party, receiving unequivocal endorsement based on merit and authenticity.

It is evident that the interests of the people must prevail over political expediency. Therefore, in the interest of upholding democratic principles and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process, we hereby declare the candidacy of Mr. Saheed Babatunde Sulaiman null and void.

We call upon all stakeholders, residents, and concerned citizens to uphold the sanctity of democracy by supporting only the candidacy of Honourable Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ibadan South East Local Government, who embody honesty, transparency, and genuine commitment to public service.
