“Empowerment Is Not Distribution Of 3kg Gas Cylinder”— Comrade Damola ‘Clever’ Condemn Unrealistic Empowerment By Politicians; Laud OTOPE Initiative

One of the youth stakeholder from Ona-Ara Local Government, Ibadan named Comrade Olalekan Idris Damola popularly known as ‘Clever’ has commended the foresight of the leadership of the Director-General Liaison Office, Abuja and Lagos, Hon Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji affectionately known as OTOPE in the organisation of 2-months free hand-on training for the youths and young adult from Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government.

This commendations was made known through Olalekan Idris Damola Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon which was monitored by Egalitarian Voice Media.

His message reads thus:

“Leaders who prioritize teaching people how to fish rather than simply giving them fish are truly deserving of admiration and respect. Hon Oloye Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji is one of those Leaders.

Those Leaders understand the essence of sustainable empowerment, enabling individuals to become self-sufficient and resilient. Such leaders embody the spirit of true leadership, where their actions inspire others to strive for excellence and make a lasting impact on their communities.

Empowerment is not just the distribution of 3kg gas; it’s about equipping individuals with the tools and knowledge to thrive independently. The current Director General of Oyo State Liaison Office Abuja, O’Tope exemplifies this through his impactful initiatives. His commitment to empowering the community by teaching them how to fish rather than just giving them fish is commendable.

The lasting impact of his previous mega Empowerment held in 2021 or so speaks volumes, with beneficiaries still self-sufficient from the skills acquired.
