The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Ogunlade, along with the ten councillors paid a thank-you visit to the League of Imams and Alfas in the local government on Friday, following their recent electoral victory and successful inauguration into office.

Ogunlade, who was accompanied by party members and leaders, visited the Pakoyi Adinni of Ogbomosho land and other Islamic clerics at the Soun Palace before visiting Imam Taliat Yunus Ayilara, the chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, and other Muslim worshippers at the Oja Gbo central mosque.

He expressed his profound gratitude to the Muslim community for their support during and after the election, promising that he won’t betray the trust in him.

While receiving the team, the Pakoyi Adini of Ogbomoso wished him a successful tenure in office and urged him to fulfil his campaign promises.

On his part, the Chief imam of Ogbomoso land, who had earlier visited the Chairman at his house in the morning, however congratulated Ogunlade on his recent achievements and assured him of the full support of the Muslim community in Ogbomoso.

He said: “We are grateful for the support and prayers of the Muslim community. We anticipate further cooperation for the development of our community.

“This reciprocal visits and joint worship is to demonstrate the commitment of the council and the Muslim community to work together for the betterment of Ogbomosho
