The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ona Ara, Oyo State, and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In his goodwill message, Dr. GLORIOUS congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the period as one of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to faith and humanity.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to sustain the virtues of patience, love, generosity, and discipline imbibed during Ramadan, noting that these values are essential for peaceful coexistence and community development.
Quoting the Noble Qur’an, he reiterated:
“And proclaim the greatness of your Lord for having guided you, and that you may give thanks.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185)
Dr. GLORIOUS emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, and collective responsibility in building a stronger Ona Ara Local Government and Oyo State at large. He called on residents to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at improving welfare, infrastructure, and economic growth.
The Chairman also prayed that the blessings of Eid bring peace, prosperity, and renewed hope to every household, while encouraging citizens to celebrate responsibly and extend love to the less privileged.
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease,” he added, quoting the Qur’an (Surah Ash-Sharh 94:6), expressing optimism for better days ahead.
