IBADAN, OYO STATE – The OTOPE Political Movement, a dynamic socio-political group under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has demonstrated its strength in the Egbeda-Ona Ara federal constituency with a mammoth crowd at its 2nd Quarter General Meeting.

Held at IDC Primary School, Olunloyo, Ona-Ara local government area, the event showcased the movement’s growing influence and popularity in the region. Dr. Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, led the gathering, conveying Governor Seyi Makinde’s appreciation to PDP loyalists.

“I am surprised by the crowd I see here today,” Dr. Oladimeji said, highlighting the party’s dominance in Ona Ara and Egbeda local governments. “No other recognized political party holds sway like the People’s Democratic Party PDP.”

The OTOPE leader promised to mobilize people for voters’ registration, further solidifying the party’s presence. “We are standardizing the party to ensure the People’s Democratic Party PDP remains vibrant in Egbeda-Ona Ara local government,” he emphasized.

Dr. Temitope Oladimeji dismissed rumors of PDP members decamping, citing the massive turnout as proof of the party’s relevance and competence. “Nobody follows those planning to defect because PDP is the only relevant party in Egbeda-Ona Ara LGs and Oyo State,” he declared.

The event drew prominent People’s Democratic Party leaders, supervisory councilors, and stakeholders, in Egbeda-Ona-Ara LGs, including Senior Citizens’ Chairman Comrade Kola Olorunsogo representative of Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT), Mr Ojewale Hammed, Park Management System (Ona-Ara local government Chapter) ably represented by Akinlabi Wakili, representative of Accomoran Ona-Ara LG Chapter, Ismail Olalekan, representative of Maruwa Riders, Babatunde Opeyemi, and representatives from various unions and organizations.

Other notable attendees included Hon. Ife’s coordinators, OTOPE Movement members, and prominent personalities from Egbeda-Ona Ara LGs. The gathering demonstrated the movement’s commitment to PDP’s success in the region.
