The Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has praised the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCCII) for hosting a successful Ibadan Week, which showcased the city’s rich cultural heritage and put it on the global map.
Hon. Oyedele lauded the CCCII for their efforts in promoting Ibadan’s identity and unity, saying, “The Ibadan Week was a resounding success, and I commend the CCCII for their dedication to celebrating our city’s unique culture.”
The chairman also felicitated with the First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, and the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, on their award conferment by the CCCII, describing them as “deserving recipients” of the honor.
Furthermore, Hon. Oyedele commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for its continuous infrastructural developments in the state, saying, “The governor’s commitment to transforming Oyo State is evident in the numerous projects he has initiated, and we are grateful for his leadership.”
The CCCII’s Ibadan Week celebration featured various events, including cultural displays, traditional performances, and awards presentations, which highlighted the city’s rich history and heritage. The event drew participants from various sectors, including government officials, traditional leaders, and cultural enthusiasts.
