Kehinde Giwa, House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians and all residents of the constituency, calling for a renewal of sacrificial love, unity and peaceful co-existence.
In his Easter message, Giwa described the season as a reminder of selflessness and the triumph of hope over despair, urging the people to reflect on the true essence of Easter beyond the festivities.
“Easter teaches us sacrificial love — the willingness to give for the good of others. That is the spirit our communities in Ibadan North West and South West need today: neighbours looking out for neighbours, leaders serving with compassion, and citizens choosing peace over division,” Giwa said.
He congratulated Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season and prayed that the blessings of the resurrection would bring healing, progress and renewed strength to families across the constituency.
Giwa further appealed to residents to use the occasion to foster unity and peaceful cohabiting, regardless of religious or political differences, noting that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.
“As we celebrate, let us also remember the vulnerable among us. A small act of kindness, a word of encouragement, a hand extended to a neighbour — these are the true expressions of Easter,” he added.
