The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Abass Adigun Agboworin, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in his constituency and across Nigeria.
The lawmaker urged the citizens to embrace the enduring values of love, sacrifice and unity which the season represents.
In his Easter message, which was made available by his Media Group in Ibadan to journalists, Agboworin noted that the essence of Easter, which commemorates the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, reflects universal values that transcend religious boundaries and resonate deeply with all people of faith.
“As we celebrate this sacred season, I join our Christian brothers and sisters in reflecting on the virtues of sacrifice, compassion, and selfless service to humanity. These are values that bind us together as a people, regardless of our religious differences,” he said.
The federal lawmaker emphasized the need for sustained unity and peaceful coexistence in Oyo State, especially at a time when the state and the nation are gradually approaching another political cycle.
He called on residents to remain committed to peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.
“Easter reminds us that even in the face of trials, hope prevails. As a people, we must continue to uphold peace and reject every form of division, as our collective progress depends on it,” Agboworin added.
He further reassured constituents of his unwavering commitment to people-centered representation, inclusive governance, and initiatives that will continue to improve the welfare of the people.
Agboworin prayed for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Ibadanland and beyond, urging all citizens to use the occasion to promote unity and extend love to one another.
