The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Abideen Kolapo GLORIOUS, has demonstrated his commitment to community welfare by donating food items to the League of Imams and Alfas in Ona Ara during their Annual Ramadan Lecture held at the residence of the Chief Imam, Sheikh Tirimisiyu Hamoda Rufai.
A press statement signed by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, confirmed that the donation was part of Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS’ efforts to support the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan, ensuring that less privileged families have access to essential food supplies.
The event was graced by prominent Islamic leaders in Ona Ara, including Aare Musulumi, Alhaji Diekola Awe; Assistant Aare, Alhaji Ismail Olubode; Balogun Adeen, Sheikh Ojasope; and Osupa Adeen, Alhaji AbdulRahmon Akinwande. Also in attendance were members of the Chief Imam’s cabinet, such as Tafseer Muminee, Sheikh Surajudeen Abdulsalam Alatise, and Babasale Musulumi, Alhaji Badmus Ewuola, among others.
Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS was accompanied by a high-powered delegation comprising the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Abolade Yerima; Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Sunmonu; as well as all Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting religious bodies and fostering unity among different faiths in Ona Ara. He emphasized the importance of Ramadan as a period of reflection, charity, and devotion to Allah, urging all Muslims to continue praying for peace, progress, and prosperity in Ona Ara and Oyo State at large.
The League of Imams and Alfas, led by Sheikh Tirimisiyu Hamoda Rufai, expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman for his generosity and unwavering support for the Muslim community. They offered special prayers for Dr. GLORIOUS, his administration, and the continued development of Ona Ara Local Government.
