The Executive Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has emphasised the importance of strengthening community bonds and enhancing strategic private participation to drive sustainable development in Oyo State. Speaking at the 21st anniversary celebration of The Royal Group Egbe Omo Oba Aládé IIè Ibadan, an affiliate of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Dr Adeniran called for collective efforts to reposition the city for growth and development.

Dr Adeniran highlighted the need for residents, community leaders, and stakeholders to come together to address the challenges facing their community. He emphasised that collective efforts would be required to drive sustainable development and improve the quality of life for residents. “We need to build strong community bonds and work together to achieve our goals,” he said.

The SUBEB chairman commended the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde for outstanding work around the state. He also emphasised the importance of strategic private participation in driving development in Ibadan. He called on private sector operators to partner with the government and community-based organisations to invest in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure. “Private sector participation is crucial for sustainable development,” he said.

The Royal Group Egbe Omo Oba Aládé IIè Ibadan is a community-based organisation that has been promoting the interests of Ibadan indigenes for over two decades. The group’s 21st anniversary celebration was marked with the inauguration of new executives, the induction of new members, and the launching of its club building.

Meanwhile, in a live broadcast on BCOS’ ‘Gbagede Oselu’ programme, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), officially threw his hat into the ring, declaring his candidacy for the Oyo State governorship position and outlining his vision for serving the state’s residents and fostering development.

This significant announcement marks a new chapter in his career, and stakeholders are keenly watching to see how his governorship aspirations will shape the state’s future.

As Dr. Adeniran takes his gubernatorial ambition to the next level, his advocacy for community bonds and strategic private participation is expected to resonate with residents and stakeholders in Oyo State.
