The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has charged hospital accountants in all health facilities in the state to be more professional in their conduct.
He made this known during a meeting with heads of the account department from all health facilities, held at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Health, Secretariat, Ibadan.
Dr. Fagbemi emphasized that he wants them to demonstrate that the board has competent accountants, and he strongly believes that when accountants perform well, the board can achieve even better results.
Dr. Fagbemi further stressed that every individual in the board has a reputation to protect and must be accountable in line with expectations.
He also admonished them to work collaboratively with the board and hospital heads, ensuring that not only the Governor but also the people of Oyo State will be satisfied.
In her remark, The Permanent Secretary in the board, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, expressed delight in meeting the accountants for the first time and commended those managing two facilities in the state.
She urged them to return to their respective posts and address all loopholes to increase revenue for the government.
