Day 13: Makinde’s Value-Ba sed Program Wins Hearts of Oke Ogun Youth

On the 13th day of the Oyo Youth Empowerment program in Oke Ogun, participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary leadership and commitment to youth development. This value-based program has empowered young individuals with skills, knowledge, and a sense of purpose, shaping them into agents of positive change in their communities.

In a heartwarming display of appreciation, participants in the Oyo Youth Empowerment program in Oke Ogun extolled the virtues of Governor Seyi Makinde’s value-based initiative on its 13th day. The program has been a game-changer for young individuals in the state, equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and a sense of purpose.

The participants, who are undergoing intensive training and mentorship, praised Governor Makinde’s commitment to youth development, acknowledging the profound impact the program has had on their lives. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to acquire new skills, build their confidence, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Governor Makinde’s vision for the youth has been hailed as a beacon of hope for a brighter future. His dedication to investing in the next generation has inspired a new wave of young leaders, ready to make a difference in their communities.

Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, urged participants in the Oke Ogun youth empowerment program to commit their time and energy to the initiative, cultivate a passion for learning, and share their acquired knowledge with the community to make a positive impact. She also encouraged them to focus on personal development, harnessing the skills and expertise gained to enhance their individual growth.

Ms Adegoke emphasized that the program offers a unique opportunity for personal and collective transformation, and it is essential to maximize its potential. The Commissioner’s charge is in line with the program’s objectives, which aim to equip young individuals with valuable skills, knowledge, and a sense of purpose, enabling them to become agents of positive change in their communities.

Lead facilitator, Dr. Jasper Ezenwaka, advised the participants that by dedicating themselves to the program, they will not only experience personal transformation and growth but also become catalysts for positive change in Oyo State, making significant contributions to its development and progress.

Alhaja Mustapha, Director of Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, extended a warm welcome to the Oke Ogun participants, encouraging them to embrace the opportunities presented by the program. She also charged them to serve as exemplary ambassadors of Oke Ogun land, upholding the values and traditions of their community while striving for excellence and making a positive impact in all their endeavors.

As the program enters its final stages, participants are poised to graduate with a renewed sense of purpose, equipped to tackle the challenges of the future. The success of the Oyo Youth Empowerment program is a testament to Governor Makinde’s leadership and his commitment to creating a better tomorrow for all.
