Dangote Refinery Prepares for Full Operations with Incoming Crude Shipments

— KP News
The Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company, set to become the world’s largest single-train refinery, gears up for its imminent refining operations as it anticipates the arrival of its fifth and sixth crude oil shipments from Nigerian oil producers. Scheduled to arrive between today and January 6, the refinery eagerly awaits these shipments, signaling a crucial step towards commencing operations.

Expected to receive one million barrels each, these shipments mark the final consignments out of the planned six million barrels destined for the refinery. Notably, the company recently confirmed the successful delivery of the fourth one million barrels of Bonny Light grade crude from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited earlier this week.
With a cumulative total of four million barrels now in possession, the Dangote Group stands on the brink of initiating refining activities at its impressive 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery based in Lagos. The arrival of these awaited shipments will pave the way for the refinery’s full-scale operations, positioning it closer to its long-awaited operational debut.
