Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon (Mrs) Toyin Balogun felicitate with Oyo State Children

On behalf of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE,GSSRS the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion has extended her warm felicitations to our vibrant and promising children,future leaders of tommorrow on the auspicious occasion of the 2024 edition of Children’s Day Celebration today 24th of May.

The Honorable Commissioner enjoined all to remember that our children are precious gifts from God entrusted in our care

The Quran states in Surah Al-Ahqaf verse 15 *”And We have enjoined open man,to his parents,good treatment “*
Similarly,the Bible says in Psalm 127:3 “*Children are our heritage from the Lord,Lord, reward from Him”*

The Commissioner emphasized that our children are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of tomorrow, and it is our collective responsibility to provide them with a nurturing environment that fosters their growth and development.

Speaking further,she stated that as we celebrate our children,we must also acknowledge the importance of creating a safe and sustainable environment for our children to thrive

The Commissioner said “We must prioritize their well being,protect them from harm and ensure we put them on the path to a bright future by enabling access to a qualitative education with training in vocational skills

On this special day, I urge all parents, guardians, and caregivers to rededicate themselves to the welfare of our children.

Let us strive to create a society that values and cherishes our children and provides them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive and succeed.

To our children, I say: never stop dreaming, never stop learning, and never stop exploring. Your curiosity and creativity are the driving forces that will shape a brighter future for our community and our nation.

Once again, I wish all our children a happy and memorable Children’s Day celebration.”
