Hon. Saminu Rilwan Gbadamosi, the lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki East State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, describing his demise as a monumental loss to Oyo State, Ibadanland, and Nigeria as a whole.

In a condolence message issued to the press, Hon. Gbadamosi extolled the virtues of the late elder statesman, whom he described as a political titan, a beacon of wisdom, and a revered traditional and religious leader whose life was dedicated to service and unity.
“Chief Yekini Adeojo was more than a politician. He was a father to many, a unifier, and one of the last standing pillars of experience whose guidance shaped the political, cultural, and religious harmony of our dear state. His legacy within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his contributions to the development of Ibadanland and beyond will not be forgotten,” Hon. Gbadamosi stated.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the Adeojo family, the people of Ido Local Government, the PDP family, and the entire Ibadanland, urging them to find comfort in the exemplary and impactful life Chief Adeojo lived.

Hon. Gbadamosi also sympathized with Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, praying that God grants him and the entire family the fortitude to bear this painful loss.

“This is indeed a painful and irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus,” he concluded.
Chief Yekini Adeojo, the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland and a founding father of the PDP in Oyo State, passed away on Friday morning in Ibadan. He was a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party and a respected figure across Nigeria.
