Chairman Kamorudeen Expresses Gratitude to Lagelu-PDP, Political Functionaries for Overwhelming Support on Child’s Naming

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has expressed his deepest gratitude to the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party and its serving political officials on what he described as “overwhelming support”, towards his child’s naming event, on Monday.

In a detailed message shared publicly, the council chairman described the event as far more than a family milestone, highlighting how leaders, serving appointed and elected officials, party executives at ward and local levels, and loyal supporters turned up in impressive numbers. They did not merely attend; according to him, they took full responsibility for the occasion.

“The food that fed everyone with abundance, the gifts that spoke of thoughtfulness, and the material support that ensured nothing was lacking, you supplied everything,” he wrote. “Every single detail needed to make the day memorable, eventful, and colorful… you made it happen.”

He expressed deep emotion watching political heavyweights, individuals burdened with responsibilities at local government level, state level, and at national level, set aside their duties to celebrate with the family

In his reflections, Hon. Kamorudeen noted that “partisanship faded away completely” during the gathering. What endured, he said, was “humanity at its purest: leadership that goes beyond politics, friendship that endures, and brotherhood that shows up when it matters most.”

The council chairman extended special appreciations to the PDP leadership in Lagelu LGA and across various tiers, describing their presence as a powerful reminder that he was never alone. The simple family gathering, he added, transformed into “a powerful testimony of love, unity, and shared joy.”

“My wife and I have no words grand enough to capture the depth of the emotion we feel. Our child has entered this world surrounded by giants like you; men and women of character, compassion, and unwavering support,” he stated.

He concluded with prayers for divine blessings on all who contributed: protection for their homes, prosperity in their endeavours, and a return of the overwhelming love they showed.
