CCII showers accolades on Makinde, Rep. Agboworin over NAF School of Finance and Accounts in Ibadan

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has commended Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, the member representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for his pivotal role in facilitating the establishment of the Nigerian Air Force School of Finance and Accounts in Ibadan.

The Council equally applauded the governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his continuous support and efforts towards the quick actualization of the establishment of the 671 Air Force Base in Ajia area of Ibadan.

The commendation came on the heels of the official commissioning of the prestigious institution, a development the CCII described as a “landmark achievement” that would have far-reaching impacts on the city’s educational and economic landscape.

In a statement issued by the Council’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Olomide, CCII President-General, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, applauded Rep. Agboworin for his unwavering commitment to the development of Ibadan and his ability to attract federal presence to the ancient city.

“This is indeed a giant stride by Rep. Agboworin. The commissioning of the Nigerian Air Force School of Finance and Accounts in Ibadan is a testament to his dedication, foresight, and love for his people. It further places Ibadan on the map as a strategic centre for military and academic excellence,” Ajewole said.

He added that such a project would not only enhance the educational profile and security of Ibadan, but also open up opportunities for employment, economic growth, and increased federal investment in the region.

The President-General expressed pride in Agboworin’s achievements and encouraged other public office holders to emulate his people-focused leadership.

The Nigerian Air Force School of Finance and Accounts, now officially opened, is expected to train and retrain financial personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, reinforcing the institution’s operational capacity while contributing to the overall professional development of military finance officers in the country.
