Following the prestigious Icon of Ibadan Heritage Award presentation by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi (ILAJI), Okanlomo Oodua, has declared Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) as his preferred candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in 2027.

The declaration, which came shortly after the CCII award ceremony, further reinforced the growing support for Dr. Oladimeji’s aspiration to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
Speaking to newsmen, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi publicly affirmed his support for OTOPE’s federal legislative ambition, describing him as a tested and trusted leader with a proven record of service to the people.

“OTOPE is my Federal Representative candidate for 2027. His antecedents, unwavering support, and commitment to the development of Ona-Ara and Egbeda have proved him to be the right candidate. This is the type of leader we need to represent us,” Chief (Engr.) Sanusi stated.

This endorsement comes on the heels of a historic declaration by traditional rulers and religious leaders across Ona-Ara Local Government, who unanimously affirmed that “it is Ona-Ara’s turn to produce the next member of the House of Representatives” and pledged their unwavering support for Dr. Temitope Oladimeji.
Community leaders further noted that OTOPE’s deep grassroots connection, philanthropic interventions, and consistent engagement with the people have positioned him as a unifying figure capable of delivering effective and impactful representation for the constituency.
In his response, Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji expressed profound appreciation to Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi for the confidence reposed in him, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive representation, people-oriented legislation, and accelerated development across Ona-Ara and Egbeda communities.

With endorsements from respected traditional institutions, religious leaders, and influential stakeholders, political observers say momentum continues to build around OTOPE’s 2027 ambition as consultations and strategic alignments intensify ahead of the general elections.
