A member representing Ibadan North West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Dawood Olalere has called successful individuals to return to their respective elementary, secondary and higher institutions to give hope, nurture young minds for the future.

He stated this during the ” Catch Them Young Initiative” Campaign held at Chief Agbaje Memorial Primary School, Ayeye-Agbaje, Ibadan on Thursday.

The medical laboratory expert cum lawmaker explained the significance in education for nation building and talent development.

Hon. Olalere, fondly called “D-Al-ameen” noted that most successful individuals in Nigeria attended public education institutions, adding that through focus, dedication and discipline they achieved their respective dreams.

The lawmaker who said he sponsored his secondary and higher educations, attended Chief Agbaje Memorial School, Ayeye in Ibadan, charging young children never to consider their parents’ poor economic background for success.

” Not just that I became who I am magically. No. I started like you here. In fact, all my life I attended public schools. But, I learned to remain focused, dedicated and work into the future. Today, I have had my first degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University College Hospital in conjunction with the University of Ibadan, a Master’s degree from Ambrose Alli University, and even an honourary doctorate degree in Public Health. I have my own medical outfit, known as D-Al-Ameen Diagnostic Hospital, and now a member representing Ibadan North West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly. You can do more than this”, he said.
