In a major step towards fostering unity and grassroots strength within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has championed a successful reconciliation meeting involving leaders and members of the party across the six wards of Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government.

The reconciliation meeting, convened at the Speaker’s instance, was held today, Saturday at Ward 1 (Oke-Oba) and brought together critical stakeholders of the PDP under one roof for the first time in months.
This followed a prolonged internal rift that had factionalised “Meeting 6” into two opposing blocs.

After extensive deliberations, party leaders and members unanimously resolved that the Meeting 6 gathering would now rotate among all six wards to ensure fairness, inclusion, and a renewed sense of shared responsibility.

The next meeting is scheduled to hold at Ward 2 (Anko).
Speaking at the meeting, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin expressed delight at the peaceful resolution and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s base ahead of future elections.
“What we have achieved here today is more than reconciliation, it is a reaffirmation of our collective resolve to put the interest of the party and our people above all personal differences.”

The meeting was attended by prominent party stakeholders including the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East LG, Hon. Kazeem Arogundade; PDP Senatorial Chairman for Oyo South, Alh. Kamoru Adeyemi; Hon. Moses Adewuyi Ojoawo; Hon. Oladimeji “Vanguard” Oladapo; and Alh. Akeem “Kuso” Akintola, among others.
Leaders in attendance praised the Speaker’s timely intervention and called on members to sustain the new spirit of unity and cooperation for the continued growth of the party in Eruwa and across the state.
