The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, welcome the Nigerian Under-20 women’s national football team, Falconets to the capital city, Ibadan, , as they prepare to take on Rwanda in a FIFA World Cup qualifier match at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on September 27.
In her welcoming address, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke assured the team of the Oyo State Government’s readiness to support them in their quest for victory. This upcoming match is expected to not only showcase the team’s skills but also bring economic value to Oyo State, highlighting the strength and passion of Oyo people, particularly the Oyo Female Football Team, Pacesetter Queen.
As part of the preparations, the Oyo State Government has announced that there will be no gate fee for the match, demonstrating its commitment to promoting sports development and encouraging youth participation in the state.
