In a shocking revelation, Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has declared that the government is well aware of the identities and whereabouts of the bandits terrorizing communities in the state and across the Northern region.

In an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, Lawal expressed frustration over the lack of understanding behind the bandits’ actions, unlike Niger Delta militants who fought for economic recognition and Boko Haram who fought for religious reasons.

“What is the reason in Zamfara? We are the same people, 99.9 percent same religion. So what is the reason? What are they fighting for?” Lawal questioned.

Lawal emphasized that the bandits primarily target poor farming communities, rather than government officials, leaving many to wonder about their motivations.
