Former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has fired back at Professor Pat Utomi, calling him an “enemy of the state” over allegations of contract cancellation and entitlement mentality.
Utomi had accused Amosun of cancelling contracts signed during the previous administration, including his own, and that of Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Company Limited, leading to a prominent citizen’s suicide.
Amosun responded via his X account, revealing that the Ogun State House of Assembly had declared Utomi persona non grata before his tenure, and that Utomi’s allegations were driven by entitlement mentality and influence peddling.
The former governor provided a detailed account of his interactions with Utomi, including a disputed contract and a refund of N100 million, which Utomi claimed was N200 million.
Amosun challenged Utomi to prove his investment claims and stood by his decisions as governor, stating, “I served Ogun State passionately with all my strengths, and I did with my shoulders high.”
