Mrs. Balikis Olatunji, wife of the executive chairman, Oluyole Local Government, has felicitated Oyo State First Lady, Her Excellency Engr. (Mrs) Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on the occasion of her birthday.
In her felicitation message on Sunday, Mrs. Olatunji lauded Her Excellency, Mrs. Makinde as a hope for the hopeless and voice for the voiceless as a selfless and and passionate advocate for women and child rights in the society.
Mrs. Olatunji who disclosed that she is learning and working daily to emulate the First Lady in her role at the local government level described the Governor’s wife as a true mother, mentor, leader, and a virtuous woman worthy of emulation.
Mrs Olatunji highlighted the inspiring leadership qualities displayed by Her Excellency, emphasizing her commitment to uplifting the lives of the people of Oyo State through various impactful initiatives.
She noted that people may not be able to fully appreciate the depth of the First Lady’s invaluable contributions and service to humanity until the opportunity to learn directly from her with her close presence and easy access to her may no longer be there.
According to Mrs. Olatunji, the Governor’s wife is an accomplished woman who has tremendously succeeded in both private and public life describing her as a pillar of strength, inspiration and motivation for other women particularly, young mothers and wives.
“I want to specially celebrate our mother, leader, role model, and mentor, Her Excellency, the Oyo State First Lady, Chief Mrs. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on this joyous and special occasion of her 52nd birthday anniversary celebration.
“It’s a great privilege to be here as wife of the executive chairman of Oluyole Local Government, to draw directly from the wealth of experience and wisdom of Her Excellency to the benefit of the good people of Oluyole.
“For me it’s a great privilege that I intend to leverage on because a selfless and dedicated personality like Her Excellency at such very exalted status, who is genuinely committed to the service of humanity usually don’t come by too often so, it’s an honor to be able to learn directly from such a great woman of substance and inestimable value.
” It is my prayer that God continues to keep, protect, and uphold our mother and mentor in leading us younger generation to also be able to become impactful to the society at large.” Mrs. Olatunji said.
