Birthday: Oyo Lawmaker, Waheed Akintayo, Extends Birthday Salutations to Babatunde Saheed “Mr Sports”, Chief Benedict Akika

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and respect, Honorable Waheed Akintayo, a prominent member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended his birthday greetings to two distinguished personalities in Oyo state, an ace sports broadcaster, Alhaji Babatunde Saheed popularly known as Mr Sports and grassroots politician who is also a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Benedict Akika.

The congratulatory message, which was made public through a statement from Hon Akintayo’s office, comes as part of his efforts to recognize and appreciate the contributions of the two prominent individuals who have positively impacted the Oyo State community and beyond.

Akintayo, representing the good people of Oluyole state Constituency, commended Alhaji Babatunde Saheed for his tireless contributions to the field of sports broadcasting.

Saheed, a management staff of Success FM, Ibadan, who is widely regarded for his articulate commentary and unwavering commitment to promoting Nigerian sports, was described by Hon. Akintayo as a “vibrant ambassador of sports in Nigeria.”

“Babatunde Saheed’s role in the advancement of sports broadcasting, especially in providing high-quality, accurate, and insightful commentary, has not only educated the masses but has also inspired countless young Nigerians to pursue careers in sports journalism,” Akintayo said in his statement.

In addition, Hon. Akintayo eulogized Chief Benedict Akika, an influential figure in local politics who has long been dedicated to the development of Oyo State through his grassroots initiatives.
