Birthday: He’s one of Oyo’s economic engine room drivers– Akeem Olatunji felicitates OYSADA DG, Dr Akande

The Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has described the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Sustainable Development (OYSADA), Dr. Debo Akande, who also doubles as the Executive Adviser on Agribusiness Development to Governor Seyi Makinde, as one of the key drivers behind the state’s steady economic growth.

Olatunji made the remark in a congratulatory message to Akande on the occasion of his birthday, commending his leadership, policy depth and commitment to building a resilient and inclusive economy for Oyo State through Agribusiness Development.

According to the council chairman, Akande’s work at OYSADA has helped to translate Governor Seyi Makinde’s development agenda into practical outcomes that attract investment, stimulate productivity and create long-term value across critical sectors of the state’s economy.

He noted that under Akande’s leadership, OYSADA has become a strategic institution, aligning public policy with private sector participation and sustainability principles, while strengthening Oyo State’s competitiveness within the national economic space.

“Dr. Debo Akande is not just a public servant. He is a thinker and a builder whose ideas have consistently supported Oyo’s economic stability and growth,” Olatunji said.
