The Forum of Local Government Party Secretaries in Oyo State, has felicitated the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, on his 56th birthday anniversary.

The forum in a congratulatory message signed by its coordinator, the Ido Local Government Party Secretary, Comrade Oluwagbemiga Kolawole Olawale, as well as Comrade Jimoh Sikiru Idowu, Secretary Ogbomoso North Local Government, described Governor Makinde, as a man with the Midas touch and Convener of New Oyo state.

The PDP secretaries affirmed that Engr. Seyi Makinde is the best thing to have happened to Oyo State in this millennium and maintained that the Governor’s leadership style has an impact on the state’s growth and development.

According to the statement, since assuming office in 2019, the number one citizen of Oyo State has demonstrated practical leadership with selflessness and dedication by providing excellent services to the people of the state.

“We join PDP members in Oyo state to congratulate our Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his 56th birthday anniversary.

“We pray for God’s guidance, divine protection ,good health coupled with sound mind so as to be able to continue his good work to the good people of the state.”

The forum, which equally seized the opportunity to appeal to the Governor to please come to their aids over the affairs of the party at the state level, added that PDP party secretaries in all the 33 Local Government had been maginilized in the state party affairs.

The cordinator, Kolawole Olawale, reiterated that despite seeing to the affairs of party’s secretariat, the local government secretaries are left out grossly when it comes to benefits.

He said: “We are regarded as “The pillar and party life wire” but it’s quite unfortunate that we have absolutely nothing to show for it. We are abandoned, not reckon with and they sees us as used and dumped.

“We believe in the Governor’s style of leadership and it’s only him that can help and bail us out because every attempts made has been proved abortive.

Once again, Happy birthday to His Excellency and the peoples’ Governor, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde. Lengths of years and more meaningful existence to our Principal”, the statement read.
