In an interview with BCOS today, the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for its worker-friendly policies, which have transformed the state’s workforce.
Dr. Adeniran highlighted the governor’s commitment to paying outstanding arrears inherited from the previous administration and ensuring timely salaries for the past five years. This move, he noted, has repositioned the welfare of the state’s workforce, boosting morale and productivity.
The SUBEB boss also acknowledged Governor Makinde’s decision to allow primary school teachers who were absorbed into TESCOM to return to SUBEB schools, with their entitlements and promotions being processed accordingly.
Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran also highlighted some key points about the primary school appointment opportunity in Oyo State that the portal is open as government aims to recruit 7,000 teachers and 100 caregivers. The applicants must register with their email, phone number, and National Identification Number (NIN).
Dr. Adeniran noted that the recruitment process will involve online applications, CBT examinations, and oral interviews.He advised applicants to be cautious of scammers and to use the provided portal only.He assured applicants that the recruitment will be transparent, fair, credible, and based on merit.
Dr. Adeniran expressed his appreciation for the governor’s support and encouragement, which have enabled the SUBEB to achieve its goals and improve the state’s education sector.
The interview highlighted the positive impact of Governor Makinde’s pro-worker policies on Oyo State’s workforce, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to the well-being of its employees as forthcoming opportunities for prospective teachers into teaching service in primary schools across the state.
