The Old Students of People’s Girls Grammar School (PGGS), Molete, Ibadan, wish to sincerely appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to the advancement of education in the state. Your administration’s passion for human capital development, school renovation, and youth empowerment has brought hope and transformation to countless communities across Oyo State.

People’s Girls Grammar School, Molete, was founded by High Chief Wuraola Adepeju Esan, the Iyalode of Ìbàdàn and the first female member of the Nigerian National Assembly. She established the school to ensure that the girl-child had access to quality education and equal opportunities to succeed in life. Her vision was to raise women of purpose, character, and leadership who would contribute positively to the growth of the nation. For decades, this noble dream has produced outstanding women who are today shining lights in various fields of endeavour.
The Old Students Association (PGGS Worldwide) has continued to sustain this legacy through several development projects. Among the notable achievements are: a borehole (2018), a renovated library (2019), Horatio Hall (2019), a Biology Laboratory (2023), school drains (2024), and two classrooms (2025). In addition, various graduating sets have donated facilities such as six toilets (1981 set), 70 chairs and tables (1982 set), four renovated classrooms (1983 set), a basketball court renovation (1984 set), waste bins (1989 set), a new school signboard (1995/96 set), a drum set for assembly (2001 set), and 21 whiteboards (Lagos Chapter, 2025).

Despite these collective efforts, one of the major classroom blocks that accommodates eight classrooms has become dangerously dilapidated and is marked for demolition. We, therefore, appeal passionately to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, to kindly come to our aid by helping to rebuild this classroom block for the benefit of our students. Such an intervention will not only sustain the legacy of High Chief Wuraola Adepeju Esan but also align perfectly with the Governor’s vision of providing every child in Oyo State with access to safe, modern, and inclusive education.

Your Excellency, we deeply appreciate your transformative leadership and people-oriented governance. We remain confident that under your administration, the dream of our great founder will continue to thrive. May God grant you more wisdom and strength as you lead Oyo State to greater heights.
