The Akinyele/Lagelu PDP Party faithfuls who have been longing for an avenue to vent their happiness since the emergence of their choices as candidates across the wards and at the local government level in the forthcoming local council Elections couldn’t hold back in using the avenue to express both their happiness towards His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for allowing their choices to stand, and also their readiness to work for the party to ensure the success of the Candidates.

Moments of Joy, amusement and delightfulness full the faces of the residents/citizens of Akinyele/Lagelu federal Constituency as their eagerness shows to have PDP candidates back to stair the affairs of local government council again come April 27.

All state Party executive led by the Vice Chairman were present to showcase the two candidates, Hon Wole Akinleye and Hon Mudashiru Kamorudeen of Akinyele and Lagelu local governments respectively, alongside with their running mate while the party flag was handed over to them.

Lagelu local government stakeholders in their different remarks urged all the party faithfuls across the two local governments to sit tight as the other party candidates are going out to canvas and convincing people for vote.

It was reiterated to them that Governor Seyi Makinde has given every party a plain level ground for them to strive- left to us to go back to the drawing and re-strategize the tactics and ways to go about the success of the campaign and at the poll.

A significant moment occurred as several prominent individuals and leaders from the APC made a strategic move to join the PDP in Oyo State. Led by Baba Adewale (Gbafun Ẹ) and Hon. Suraj, the defectors signaled a notable shift in political alliances as they embraced the PDP.

The event was well attended by big wigs of the Party from Lagelu local government, Hon Olajide Akintunde (Member representing Lagelu State Constituency), Hon Kazeem Gbadamosi (Lagelu council chairman), Agbaakin Benedict Akika (DG Akinyele/Lagelu federal Constituency)
Hon Abideen Adeaga (Chairman OYCSDA), Hon Mudashiru Kamorudeen (Lagelu Chairman candidate), Alhaja Wulemot Ibitoye (State women leader) Hon Festus Alade (Macardoff), Hon Ramata Agberemi Dabo RAD (SA on local government), Hon Olatoye Big Daddy Sugar, Hon Olayinka Sadiq (Vice Chairman candidate) Hon Bioku Benjamin (Local youth leader) Iyabo Bamgbayan (Local Party women leader) Kamo/Sadiq Campaign DG Hon Jide Adeniran, Com. Oribayo Okeyode, Baba Kenfab, baba Iwinkunle, Baba Ayobami Goldsmith,,, among others.
