In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, Hon Akinwole Akinleye, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government Council has extended his condolences to his counterpart in Ido LG, Hon Sheriff Adeojo on the passing of his father, Chief Yekini Adeojo. The late Chief Adeojo, known as the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, was not only a revered spiritual leader but also a significant political figure within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement made available to the Public through his Chief Media Aide, Ogundipe Miracle , Hon Akinwole Akinleye said the demise has left a palpable void in the community and among political circles, where he was regarded as a catalyst for unity and progress.

Hon Akinwole Akinleye expressed his sorrow to the Ido Local Government area Chairman, Hon Sherif Adeojo, family members, party members, friends, and well-wishers mourning the loss of Chief Adeojo.

“The passing of Chief Adeojo is a great loss not just to the Ido community, but to Yorubaland, PDP and the entire nation,” he stated.

Acknowledging the late Chief’s contributions to both politics and religion, Hon Akinleye emphasized the importance of his legacy in promoting peace and harmony among diverse groups in the region.

Chief Yekini Adeojo was instrumental in various developmental initiatives during his lifetime, advocating for the welfare of his people and ensuring that their voices were heard at higher political echelons.

The Seriki Musulumi title further cemented his status as a unifying figure in the Muslim community, fostering interfaith dialogue and cooperation among different religious groups.

Hon Akinwole Akinleye stated that the ideals championed by Chief Adeojo should guide people’s efforts moving forward.

He called upon all leaders to uphold the values of service and sacrifice that the Late Chief Yekini Adeojo embodied, noting that his commitment to public service should inspire current and future leaders to prioritize the well-being of their constituents above personal interests.

As the community and the Party comes to terms with this profound loss, the memory of Chief Yekini Adeojo will undoubtedly live on through the many lives he touched.

His legacy as a distinguished political figure and spiritual leader remains a beacon of hope and resilience for the people of Yorubaland.

Hon Akinwole Akinleye’s message is a testament to the enduring bonds of friendship and respect among local leaders, reaffirming their collective commitment to honor the late Chief Adeojo’s contributions by continuing to serve their communities diligently.
