Akeem Olatunji, Oyo PMS Boss, Tommy, Princess Folashade Abeo, Alhaja Taofikat Bag Prestigious Awards

The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oluyole local government ahead of 2024 Council Poll, Engr. Akeem Olatunji and the Chairman, Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa have bagged prestigious awards of recognition.

While Olatunji received the award for political excellence for his contributions to the political development of Oyo state via peace advocacy and philanthropy, Alhaji Omolewa otherwise known as ‘Tommy’, bagged Role Model award for his efforts in sanitizing and reshaping public transport union operation in Oyo state.

The Iyaloja General of Oyo State; Princess Folashade Abeo, Alhaja Taofiqat, the CEO of PALM 77 and Otun Iyalode of Egbaland, and others also received awards for their immense contributions to the socioeconomic growth of Oyo state through their various investments.

The event which commemorated the Ace broadcaster, Ajibola Akinyefa’s birthday anniversary as well as his Album launch, held at the Civic Center, Idi-Ape in Ibadan on Wednesday, December 27.

In his brief remarks shortly after receiving his award from the legendary radio broadcaster, Chief Gboyega Lawal, Olatunji expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for selflessly and courageously reshaping the political landscape of Oyo state through his visionary leadership.

While equally dedicating his award to the Governor and his close ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro for creating a political environment that engenders inclusivity that unlocks access to leadership ladder especially among the younger generation of politicians, Olatunji disclosed that Oyo state has continued to enjoy good governance and dividends of democracy under a leader with a distinctly clear economic blueprints.

“I want to express my profound gratitude to my overall leader, father, mentor, and political Mogaji, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, for his relentless support for my personal political growth which has brought me thus far, even amid challenging times, my leader has remained strongly behind me like a fortress and I’m eternally grateful.

“I equally want to express gratitude to my leader and benefactor, Otunba Seye Famojuro for his selfless dedication and commitment to mentorship and political growth of young politicians in Oyo state stressing that Makinde’s succession plan remain enviable and commendable.” Olatunji said.

The event had in attendance Olatunji’s Director General of Campaign, Architect Salam Azeez, Secretary to the Oluyole local government, Azeez Babalola, and other notable personalities who received different categories of awards for their laudable contributions to the socioeconomic development of Oyo state in their various capabilities.

The awards according to the award presenter, Ajibola Akinyefa Media Network, was to honor notable individuals who have distinguished themselves in their various endeavors while impacting their various communities and the society positively.

Highlights of the event were special rendition of her songs by the legendary gospel musician, Evangelist Funmi Aragbaye and award presentation.

Some of the special guests at the event include legendary and ace radio broadcasters; Chief Gboyega Lawal, Mogaji Kola Olootu, Kolade Alabi, Seun Awodele, and other eminent personalities.
