The Special Assistant to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, Mr. Akano Mattew, in company with the immediate past Chairman of the PDP in Ibadan North West, and the newly inaugurated PDP Chairman for Ido Local Government, has successfully mediated peace talks among leaders of Ward 10, Ido Local Government.
The peace meeting, held today at the residence of the overall leader of Ward 10, Alhaji Rasaq Lantinwo, was convened to address recent tensions and conflicts within the ward and to foster unity and cooperation among party members.
Recognizing the importance of a peaceful, stable, and democratic political environment, the facilitators convened this high-level dialogue to resolve grievances, de-escalate tensions, and forge a path toward lasting political harmony within the ward.
During the meeting, participants engaged in frank and open discussions regarding the recent ward congress and other underlying issues. Both parties acknowledged the need to place state and party interests above individual ambitions, emphasizing the value of social cohesion and collective progress.
Key issues addressed included the equitable distribution of party offices and the need to strengthen inclusiveness and internal democracy within the party.
At the end of the meeting, all parties agreed to commit to peace, unity, and inclusivity, expressing appreciation to the facilitators for their efforts in restoring understanding and mutual respect among stakeholders.
The dialogue marks a new chapter of constructive engagement in Ward 10, as party leaders reaffirmed their collective resolve to build a PDP where peace, justice, and fairness shall reign.
