Agboworin’s Effective Representation Remains Indelible — Ibadan North East Boss, Akintayo

The executive chairman of Ibadan Northeast local government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has urged the residents of Ibadan Northeast/Southeast federal constituency not to be distracted by the viral video being propagated against Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, who is regarded as one of the best ever elected federal lawmaker from the constituency.

“On the trending video, people only allowed the insanity of social media to overshadow the delivery of Agboworin’s message on the floor, where he made a significant case for the welfare of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

“As seen in the video, Hon. Abass Agboworin was contributing to a motion moved by the Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Rep. Babajimi Benson, concerning the issue of adequate funding of security agencies and welfare packages for their officers.

“It was a wonderful contribution. But those with selfish agenda deliberately cut away from where the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, was forcing words into the mouth of Rep. Agboworin, even when he was not hearing him clearly.

“In the video, Agboworin urged the House to look into how outstanding individuals in the armed forces can be honored, to boost their morale, and encourage them to do better in their security service to the nation.

“We can’t all be orators. He has exhibited performance and capacity and does not deserve the backlash aimed at rubbishing his performance.

“The trending video does not have the power to rubbish his numerous achievements. The real focus should be on his achievements in the NASS.

“Agboworin’s leadership in the House of Assembly goes beyond eloquence but about substance, capacity, empathy, and a commitment to delivering good results.

“Agboworin has always been at the forefront of advocating for the welfare of security agencies in Nigeria, being a retired officer in the U.S Navy,” Akintayo said.

As the chairman of one of the Local Government areas that make up his Hon. Agboworin’s constituency, he declared his support for the representation of the lawmaker, urged the residents of Ibadan Northeast/Southeast federal constituency as well as people of Oyo state to continue to ignore all campaign of ignorance against the lawmaker.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that there are many well-educated individuals in the House who have not moved any motions to date, which underscores Hon. Agboworin’s proactive approach to representation.

Additionally, his commitment to the welfare of the Nigerian Armed Forces is a testament to his dedication to the nation’s security and well-being.
